Waseda University has established the Information Technology Research Organization in 2004 to maintain a function of bringing about synergetic effect in the IT-related research institutes spreading at three different campuses of Waseda：Okubo, Honjo and Kitakyushu.
This Research Organization participates in major national projects, enhances internal research and education, and provides strategy to strengthen international IT competitiveness including industry-university-government collaborative projects.
